Before the remodel, our bathrooms were dark and dingy no matter how much they were cleaned. They were like two musty little janitors' closets. Fabian brought in his crew and worked for three weeks tearing out the old and ugly and installing new tubs, tile, lights, texture, cabinets, etc. The transformation was tremendous. The company has 5 star ratings in Yelp and an A+ rating in the BBB. Fabian Melendez, owner and project manager, is a hands on contractor. Every day he shows up at the job to check on the work being done. He talks with the owner about how things are going, if there are questions regarding the remodel and lets the owner know what will be done that day. His crew is fast and professional, respectful and hard working. They did such an excellent job, we expanded our original project to include custom made cabinets, a new pantry and a pocket door. The wood for the large kitchen drawers are made of poplar and are beautiful.
  The price was reasonable and out of 5 bids, LYF was not the lowest but close to it. The bids for the original project ranged from the mid $30,000 to $8,000. I could not believe how different they could be. We chose LYF based on Fabian's prompt response to our bid request. He called me in about 2 hours of posting on Yelp and came by a couple of days later to review the project. Fabian submitted a bid 2 days later by email. 
  The other 4 companies were slow to call back and to schedule an appointment to see our kitchen. One company had the nerve to not listen to what I asked for and he told me his company would take care of everything I needed based on his review. It took over 2 weeks to get the bid from them. Another company kept rescheduling the appointment at the last minute. The ratings on those were 4 stars on Yelp and it is possible they are good. However, for me, if they cannot keep an appointment or will not listen to me before the remodel, I don't believe I can trust them to complete the project on time and with the changes I want. LYF Painting & Remodeling passed in every area before and after the project was completed. Thank goodness for this company."

The crew was prompt daily at 7am and gone by 5pm, and they cleaned their mess up daily. The estimated time to complete was 5 days, they did it in 4! We asked if they would also hang up a new chandelier in our entry way, which they did. However, they informed the chain and wire was not the right length, so we asked if they could go to a hardware store and get the right stuff. They did! We forgot to include our laundry room in original contract, but they took care of that as well.
  These guys are professional, neat with their work, and very accommodating. I will definitely call upon LYF again for any construction or remodeling project that I cannot take care of.
